Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
Tailored to Switzerland (revFADP) and the EU (GDPR). Please have it finalized by a professional before launch and fill in the gold fields.
1. Controller
The party responsible for data processing is [Full name], [Address, Switzerland], email: support@knownengine.com. This policy follows the Swiss Data Protection Act (revFADP) and — for users in the EU — the GDPR.
2. Data we process
- Account data: email address, name, hashed password.
- Profile & content: your creator profile (niche, style, audience, offer), generated ideas, scripts, your content board, calendar and entered results.
- Usage data: e.g. how many ideas you generate per day.
- Payment data: handled solely by our payment processor Stripe; we store no card details, only a customer ID and subscription status.
3. Purposes & legal bases
We process your data to provide the service (contract performance), process payments, improve the service and meet legal obligations. Legal bases (GDPR) are contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b)), legitimate interest ((f)) and — where required — your consent ((a)). In Switzerland we rely on the contract and overriding legitimate interests.
4. AI processing
To generate your ideas, scripts and plans we send your profile and brief inputs to our AI provider Anthropic (Claude). Under Anthropic's terms this content is not used to train the AI models and is processed only to fulfil your request.
5. Processors we use
- Supabase – database & authentication
- Anthropic (Claude) – AI generation of your content
- Stripe – payment processing
- Vercel – application hosting
- NewsAPI – trend data
- Plausible – privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics
6. International data transfers
Some of these services (in particular Anthropic, Stripe and Vercel) process data in the USA or other countries outside Switzerland/the EU. Transfers are based on appropriate safeguards — namely the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, the EU-US and Swiss-US Data Privacy Framework.
7. Retention
We keep your data while your account exists. When you delete your account, your content and profile are permanently removed; statutory retention obligations remain unaffected.
8. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection. You can export your data and delete your account at any time in the app. For requests: support@knownengine.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Switzerland the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), in the EU your competent data protection authority.
9. Cookies
We only use strictly necessary cookies/local storage for sign-in and your settings. Analytics (Plausible) is cookieless.
10. Automated decisions & changes
There is no automated individual decision-making with legal effect within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR; AI outputs are suggestions without legal consequence. We may update this policy; the current version is always published here.
